Luke Memory – Managing Director
Luke is the founder of Lender & Court Services and has over 15 years’ experience in the legal sector. He is a qualified Paralegal a member of the Institute of Paralegals (IOP) and listed as a Regulated Paralegal on the Paralegal Professional Register (PPR) you can check this here. He is also authorised to instruct Barristers by the Bar Standards Board.
Before becoming qualified, his background was delivering outsourced solutions to the legal, financial and professional services sector and this has given him a great insight into how legal services are delivered. When he realised how poor at “helping people” for the most part legal firms were, he decided to create a service that was more accessible, more flexible, and gave everyone access to justice for a reasonable fixed fee.
He enjoys seeing good reviews come in from clients and is proud to see his team grow and develop and loves that they care so much about doing a great job for people. This has been recognised by Lender & Court Services being runners up in the National Paralegal Awards 2019 in the category of Best Paralegal Business. Luke and his colleague Lizzie attended the Gala Event at the Mayfair Hotel in London.
Luke and his family have been local authority Foster Carers for the last 7 years, He is also a regular runner and an F.A. Registered football referee and a qualified scuba diver, he enjoys holidaying in Cornwall with his family and going for a pub lunch on a Sunday.
Phil Marshall – Client Services Manager
With 30 years’ experience in the Financial Services and Debt industry, Phil has worked with Lender & Court Services for nearly 10 years. For him, the best part of his job is helping people – seeing the difference he can make to someone’s life by improving their credit file after removing a CCJ or saving their home from mortgage repossession is very rewarding. He is most proud of his four amazing children and his incredibly patient and fantastic other half.
With varied taste in music – Phil likes to listen to anything upbeat whilst training – he enjoys swimming, cycling and running and has done a few Triathlons. He also likes football, cricket and golf (both playing and watching).
On his bucket list is travelling around the world in a camper van for as long as possible, once he retires!
Lizzie Jones – Paralegal Team Manager
Lizzie’s worked for Lender & Court since May 2018, having achieved a First-Class Honours degree in Law from Leeds University.
She really loves that her job makes such a difference to people’s lives – she helped a recent client take up his new job as a police officer because she was able to get two judgments for parking tickets set aside: she’s proud of that!
When she’s not saving the world, one set-aside at a time, Lizzie loves listening to music and going out with her friends for something to eat and drink – that’s generally gin…
On her bucket list is a trip to see the Northern Lights.
Zara Green – Paralegal
Zara joined Lender & Court in 2019 and really likes the interesting nature of the work, as well as the fact that she works in such a close-knit team. Her background as a barrister’s clerk means she knows and understands the way the legal system works.
She enjoys her independence, ice skating, music as long as it’s 90s or dance music, hanging out with friends, watching good movies, and a cocktail or two.
On Zara’s bucket list is a trip to Bali.
Rebecca Higgins – Paralegal
Rebecca’s worked with Lender & Court for over 6 months now and went straight into law on leaving school. She’s proud of her people skills and great telephone manner and really loves helping her clients get their CCJs removed; her most rewarding case involved getting rid of a judgment to help someone buy their house.
When she’s not working, Rebecca likes to play the piano, and go fishing. She also likes a good book and hanging out with her friends.
Her bucket list includes travelling around America and swimming with sharks…
Emma Brennan – Office Apprentice
Emma also joined the firm recently and used to work as a nursery assistant; now she enjoys helping adults, rather than children. She loves working in her supportive team and helping clients through her excellent computer skills, and high levels of organisation.
She’s creative, with impressive sewing and knitting skills, and loves good books, movies, music, and hanging out with her mates or walking in the countryside.
She’d like to travel more, but she knows she’d get lost…
