In our experience we have seen a hardening of lender responses and attitudes across the board from lenders especially the historic “sub-prime” lenders we see them taking legal action with very low arrears and requesting lots of information about income and expenditure, proof of earnings and copies of bank statements from their customer only to reject a proposal. We have also found many examples of cases where our clients have really struggled to engage with their lender and found it very difficult to get any lender responses at all or even confirmation that their letters and or faxes have been received.
